Cristallo is the most translucent quartzite Antolini quarries, and Traslux Classic is its quietest reading — a near-clear white field with minimal veining, as close to clear glass as a natural stone comes. Where the gold- and violet-shot Cristallos declare themselves, Traslux holds back, offering pure translucency as the design gesture.
This is a backlight slab in its purest form. Lit from behind, the near-clear field turns to a soft, even glow with almost no interruption — ideal for a backlit island, a bar front, or a feature panel where the light itself is meant to be the feature. Polished and unlit, it reads as a clean, crystalline white.
“Lit from behind, the near-clear field turns to a soft, even glow with almost no interruption — ideal for a backlit island, a bar front, or a feature panel where the light itself is meant to be the feature.”
As a true quartzite, Traslux is hard and etch-resistant, so this degree of translucency is paired with real working durability — a combination no alabaster can offer.
This is Lot AN283-1, chapas 1–7, polished at 2cm — a matched run for continuous backlit work. On the floor at our South Sepulveda yard; book a viewing to see it lit.
