Where porcelain belongs
Vitrified at high temperatures and digitally imaged from real Italian blocks, porcelain is low-maintenance and highly resistant to common stains, UV exposure and moisture when properly specified and installed. It is one option for high-traffic kitchens, commercial work, ventilated façades and outdoor kitchens; many granites, quartzites and properly specified natural stones also perform successfully outdoors.

- Our standard jumbo is 63″ × 126″ (160 × 320 cm), with select pieces up to 64″ × 130″. Standard thicknesses are 6mm for walls and façades and 12mm for countertops and floors. Custom cuts, mitered edges and bookmatched pairs are available through our fabrication partners.
- Is porcelain better than natural marble for outdoor kitchens?
- It depends on the product, site conditions and installation. Properly specified porcelain is a low-maintenance option with strong resistance to common stains, UV exposure and moisture. Many granites, quartzites and other properly specified natural stones also perform successfully outdoors.
- Does porcelain look like real marble?
- The current generation of Italian porcelain is remarkably close. Full-body slabs from Antolini, Xtone and Refin reproduce the veining of Calacatta, Statuario, Taj Mahal and Patagonia at full slab scale, with veining that continues through the body — not just printed on the surface. For most viewers, at countertop distance, it reads as natural stone.
