Sales & Returns,
in plain language.

Deposits, slab hold, cancellation, delivery acceptance, and returns for stone and porcelain sold by Stone Supplies, Inc. dba Royal Stone. The written quotation controls; this page is a summary.

Stone Supplies, Inc., doing business as Royal Stone — California corporation.

1. Quotations & Orders

All pricing, availability, and terms are confirmed only by a written quotation issued by Stone Supplies, Inc. dba Royal Stone. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote; otherwise, fourteen (14) calendar days from issuance.

A quote does not constitute a binding contract until accepted in writing (signed quote, signed proposal, or written email acceptance) and accompanied by the required deposit per section 2.

2. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to place a slab on hold and to release material from inventory. The standard deposit is fifty percent (50%) of the quoted total, applied to the final invoice.

For slabs sourced specifically for an order — including material from incoming containers — the deposit secures the procurement and may be applied to non-refundable factory or freight charges if the order is cancelled after procurement has begun.

3. Slab Selection & Hold Period

Once a specific slab is selected, Royal Stone will tag and hold that slab for fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of tag. After fourteen days, the slab may be released back to inventory unless the hold is renewed in writing and any additional storage fee is paid.

Clients are strongly encouraged to confirm dimensions, vein direction, finish, and layout at the yard in natural light prior to fabrication. See our Natural Stone Disclaimer for the variation inherent to natural material.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations made before the slab has been cut, loaded, or shipped will receive a refund of amounts paid in excess of the non-refundable deposit described in section 2. Cancellations made after the slab has been pulled from inventory, transported to a fabrication partner, or cut are non-refundable in full.

Custom orders — including material cut, edged, finished, bookmatched, or otherwise processed to client specification — are non-cancellable once production begins.

5. Delivery & Acceptance

Delivery is curb-side at the address provided by the client unless otherwise agreed in writing. The buyer or an authorized representative must be present to inspect and sign for the delivery. Slabs must be inspected at the time of receipt.

Signing the delivery receipt constitutes acceptance of the material as delivered. Claims for transit damage or visible defects not noted at the time of receipt cannot be honored.

6. Returns & Exchanges

Because every slab is unique, Royal Stone does not accept returns or exchanges for natural stone once the slab has left the yard. Cut, finished, or fabricated material cannot be returned.

Uncut, undamaged, standard-stock slab material may be exchanged only with prior written approval and is subject to a restocking fee equal to the non-refundable deposit percentage described in section 2.

7. Defects & Damage After Delivery

Visible defects — including cracks, fissures, chips, and dimension variances beyond the tolerances described in the Stone Disclaimer — must be reported in writing within seven (7) calendar days of delivery. Royal Stone will, at its option, replace the slab from inventory, issue a credit, or refund the purchase price for material confirmed defective at time of delivery.

Issues arising after fabrication, installation, sealing, or modification by any party other than Royal Stone are the responsibility of the fabricator or installer and are not covered by Royal Stone.

8. Sales Tax & Resale

California sales tax applies to all sales delivered into California unless a valid California Resale Certificate (CDTFA-230) or other applicable exemption document is on file with Royal Stone before invoicing. Contractors and licensed trade buyers should provide their resale certificate at the time of quote acceptance.

9. Force Majeure

Royal Stone is not responsible for delay or inability to deliver caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to quarry disruption, factory shutdown, port closure, freight strike, fire, flood, or government action. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Affected deposits remain fully refundable in cases where procurement has not yet begun.
