Rosa Aurora is the historic pink marble of Estremoz, quarried in the alentejo region of Portugal since Roman occupation. The stone reads warm — a cream-to-peach field with rose undertones — and has been a foundation material for Iberian palaces and basilicas for two thousand years. Antolini reserves the Lineare Extra grade for blocks cut against the natural bedding plane, where the geological banding falls in clean horizontal sweeps across the slab.
“This 76" × 126" jumbo carries the linear cut at its most graphic: parallel grey-graphite bands running the long axis of the slab, set against a soft peach ground.”
This 76" × 126" jumbo carries the linear cut at its most graphic: parallel grey-graphite bands running the long axis of the slab, set against a soft peach ground. Honed reads quiet — the bands hold without flashing. The result is a marble that behaves like a textile, with directionality the room can be planned around: book-matched for a fireplace surround, run horizontally on a vanity apron, or used full-height as a wall panel where the lines do the architectural work.
One block, two slabs on the floor at Royal Stone. 2cm gauge, honed finish, Antolini Made in Italy provenance. Hand-selected in Verona.
