Not every project needs Select-grade Taj Mahal, and not every Select-grade slab is the right answer. This new arrival, honed at 2cm and measuring an oversized 78" × 137", is Antolini's standard commercial grade — the working tier of the deposit, with the same warm ivory field, the same crystalline structure, and a slightly busier read than Select. There is a little more movement, a few more soft taupe drifts, and a couple of faint amber lines pooling toward the center.
Honed is the right finish for a commercial-grade Taj Mahal. The honed surface evens out the field, mutes the small variations that distinguish commercial from Select, and leaves a soft matte plane that takes light without bouncing it. It is the finish to specify for a busy kitchen, a primary bath that gets daily use, or a fireplace that needs to recede rather than perform.

At 78" × 137", the slab is large enough for a full-perimeter run, a single-piece island, or a sequenced kitchen package with backsplash to match. Commercial grade is also the right call for projects that need multiple matched slabs without the cost step that Select-grade matching carries.
