Thunderflash,
in Los Angeles.

Green energy. Thunderflash is the quartzite that walks into a room and refuses to be background — a seafoam-green field cut by diagonal strikes of garnet, copper, and oxidised red. Antolini's June feature, and the stone our designers reach for when a space is meant to leave a lasting impression.

Antolini Thunderflash — Polished

On Thunderflash

Stone of the Month · June 2026

A fully natural Brazilian quartzite, hand-selected through Antolini in Verona before it crosses the Atlantic to the Royal Stone yard.

With its dramatic veining and vibrant contrasts, Thunderflash gives an interior a strong, magnetic presence. The pale jade ground keeps the slab light and architectural, while the lightning-strike veining carries real chroma even in low-light rooms — a rare combination of restraint and drama in a single stone.

Polished lights the red veining and deepens the green for feature walls, islands, and backlit moments; honed quiets the surface to a soft matte read for working counters and vanities. As a true quartzite, it is hard-wearing through daily kitchen use, not a soft decorative stone.

It pairs with unlacquered brass, warm walnut and rift oak, and plaster in clay or bone — and it bookmatches beautifully, where the veining can mirror across a seam on a fireplace, island end-cap, or vanity. We’ll pull a slab and walk it with you in daylight before you commit a face.
