Antolini Bohemian Carbon Grey quartzite slab on the crane at Royal Stone, near-black field with a soft slate-like textured surface

Bohemian Carbon Grey is one of the quietest dark quartzites in the yard — a near-black, low-contrast slab with a soft, slate-like surface and just a hint of grain catching the light. No high veining, no flash. Just depth.

Cut at 2cm with a textured finish, the surface reads matte and tactile — closer to fine-grit cast iron than polished stone.
From the slab arrival, 2024

Cut at 2cm with a textured finish, the surface reads matte and tactile — closer to fine-grit cast iron than polished stone. At 79″ × 122″ it scales up for a kitchen, a powder vanity, or a fireplace surround where the stone needs to recede rather than perform.

On the A-frame this week. Walk in to feel the surface in person.
