Lot AO999 is one of the cleaner Taj Mahal blocks Antolini has cut this year — a soft champagne ground with a fine, crystalline vein network that reads almost like frost across the field. There is the gentlest gold drift through the center of the slab and a few honey-colored roots near the bottom edge, but the overall impression is calm, warm, and quiet.
Honed pulls Taj Mahal back from buttery polish to matte, and on AO999 it lets the crystalline veining sit just under the surface rather than catching light. It is the finish to specify when the kitchen faces north, when the bath has a lot of glass, or when the slab needs to live next to plaster, oak, and warm limestone without competing.

Cut at 2cm and measuring 74" × 131", this slab carries enough length for a generous single-piece run on most island geometries and enough height for a full backsplash to the underside of the upper cabinets. Consecutive blocks from the same lot are available on request — useful when the project calls for a bookmatched pair on the island and perimeter.
On the floor in Los Angeles this week. Walk it before it is reserved.
