Jadore is a softer, quieter reading of the translucent green quartzites. The field is a pale jade rather than a saturated emerald, crossed by rust and copper veining that warms the cool ground. Among the Brazilian translucents it is one of the more liveable — colour and glow without the intensity of a full statement green.
It is a strong backlight candidate. Lit from behind, the jade field softens to a luminous wash while the rust and copper veins read as warm filaments through the stone — beautiful on a bar front, a powder vanity, or a feature wall. Unlit, the pale green stays gentle enough to carry larger runs than most coloured quartzites.

As a true quartzite it brings real hardness and etch resistance, so the translucency and colour do not come at the cost of durability.
This is Lot 8719, polished, 2cm, arriving for our South Sepulveda yard. Best judged backlit, in person.
