Taj Mahal Select polished quartzite slab at Royal Stone, warm ivory field with low fawn drift, 78 by 130 inches

Twenty-eight slabs of Select-grade Taj Mahal arrived this week, cut polished at 78" × 130" — one of the largest single lots of this material we have stocked in Los Angeles this year. The grade is the calm end of the Taj Mahal range: a creamy ivory field with low, horizontal drift of fawn and pale gold, no aggressive cool grey, no green pocketing.

Polish is the finish that pulls warmth out of Taj Mahal. The light catches the field and the soft veining reads as low contrast against the ivory ground — closer to the look of an honed Calacatta than to a typical quartzite. It is the right specification for vanities, fireplaces, primary baths and the dressy kitchen island where the stone is meant to be the warm focal point of the room.

Cut at 2cm and measuring 78" × 130", these slabs carry the dimensions for a single-piece island top with waterfall returns on most floor plans, or a full-height bookmatched bath wall without seam. Consecutive blocks from the same lot are available — bookmatching across the twenty-eight is the reason designers pull this kind of arrival before it hits the regular floor.
