Anima is the cool-water register of Antolini's translucent family — crystalline quartzite drawn for a clear aqua-blue pass through the body. Block YG492 reads as water rather than stone: polished, the surface catches light and travels it into the slab, drawing depth from the crystalline structure rather than reflecting it back.
Polished keeps the aqua register reflective and translucent. Honed would push the blue toward matte and dampen the depth; leather would soften the crystalline body. The slab is meant for the room where the brief is blue and contemporary — a primary bath composition, a kitchen span, a bar front, a powder room, or a backlit feature wall.
“Polished keeps the aqua register reflective and translucent.”
Block YG492 comes in at 77″ × 128″, the working slab size for full-height bath walls, contemporary kitchen spans, dining tables, and powder compositions. At 2cm it cuts to a standard working kitchen span.
On the floor now at the Royal Stone yard. Worth walking — Aqua Crystal reads clearer and more watery in person than in any photograph. Bring drawings and we will pull the slab and light it for you.
