← The JournalSlab Arrival · July 2026

This Jadore cut reads as the quieter end of the family — a pale jade and emerald-green field shot through with rose, copper, and faint gold veining, drawn across the slab in long diagonal passages rather than the dense network other Jadore cuts carry. The body is lightly translucent, the green sits jade rather than emerald-dark, and the rose and copper passages resolve into the field as accents rather than breaking it open. Cut at 2cm by Bassi in Italy and finished honed, it sits in the program next to our stock Antolini Brazilian Jadore as the gentler architectural cousin.

At 79" × 130" the slab is sized for a single-piece kitchen island, a full-height primary bath wall, or a backlit bar front.
From the slab arrival, July 2026

At 79" × 130" the slab is sized for a single-piece kitchen island, a full-height primary bath wall, or a backlit bar front. The translucent body will glow under LED sources on the wall application; the honed surface keeps the field matte and the veining legible without the polish pushing the green toward dark. The lot on the crane this week is a single slab — first in, first held.

On the floor at the Royal Stone yard on South Sepulveda. Walk it this week; we have the Antolini Brazilian Jadore next to it for a same-day side-by-side. Bassi cuts tend to read cooler and quieter than Brazilian cuts — the green sits further from emerald-dark, the veining draws cleaner lines, and the slab sizes for kitchens and baths more readily than walls.
