Travertino Titanium Charcoal — Honed & Unfilled, in Los Angeles

Travertino Titanium · Charcoal

The dark architectural travertine.

Quarried in Tivoli, Italy, in the darker Titanium charcoal register of the family.

Travertino Titanium Charcoal is the dark architectural register of Italian travertine — a vein-cut slab drawn as warm charcoal-grey and silver lines drawn across a near-black field. The Tivoli stone at the most confident register: dramatic dark material with the working-friendly finish of unfilled travertine.

At 73″ × 122″, the slab sizes for working kitchen islands as a single piece, primary bath composition, full-height cladding, fireplace surrounds, bar fronts, and any application where the brief is confident dark material. 30 slabs on the floor is enough to walk a full selection across a working project.

The right Titanium Charcoal when the brief is confident dark architectural material. Pair with brass, oak millwork, lime plaster, a quieter limestone or marble elsewhere as counterpoint.

One Finish · Honed & Unfilled

Honed & Unfilled,
to keep the dark voids open.

Honing keeps the dark charcoal surface matte; unfilled leaves the natural voids visible at the surface. The vein-cut lines run consistent with everyday wear, the slab forgives as travertine does, the dark register is the architectural commitment.

The right finish for working kitchens, primary bath composition, fireplace surrounds, full-height cladding, and any application where dark travertine reads correctly.

Dark charcoal, vein-cut, architectural

Honing keeps the dark register matte, the void register honest, and the vein-cut lines legible. The slab sits calmly against brass, oak, and limestone — and any patina that develops reads as part of the dark register rather than wear.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Travertino Titanium Charcoal?
Travertino Titanium Charcoal is the dramatic darker register of Italian travertine — vein-cut across the bedding plane, drawn as warm charcoal-grey and silver lines across a near-black field. 30 slabs at 2cm, 73″ × 122″, unfilled so the natural voids stay visible at the surface.
Where does Titanium Charcoal work best?
In the room where the brief is confident dark architectural material. A working kitchen span, a primary bath composed entirely of stone, a fireplace surround, a full-height feature wall, a bar front. Pair with brass, oak millwork, lime plaster, a quieter limestone or marble as counterpoint.
Is Titanium Charcoal good for a working kitchen?
Yes — unfilled and honed is fine for working kitchens on the Titanium Charcoal register. The unfilled slab continues to register the natural vugged register of the stone, and honed keeps the surface forgiving. The dark register hides everyday etching that develops with use.
How is Titanium Charcoal different from Henrax Sandblasted or Cemento Sandblasted?
Three Italian travertine slabs, three registers. Titanium Charcoal reads as dark charcoal vein-cut. Henrax Sandblasted reads as lemon-cream sandblasted. Cemento Sandblasted reads as softer neutral cream. Pick the register that fits the brief.
How is Titanium Charcoal different from Antolini Black Fill?
Both darker travertine registers, different reads. Titanium Charcoal is a natural darker vein-cut Italian travertine — the dark colour comes from the stone itself, the slabs are unfilled. Antolini Black Fill takes classical Tivoli cream vein-cut and fills the voids with a deep black resin, creating a cream lines on near-black pattern.
