Light Emperador Select sits in the lighter half of the Emperador family — a warm taupe-beige ground crossed by a fine, web-like network of alabaster and chalk-white calcite veins. Where the classic Emperador Light reads creamy and golden, this Petris Select cut leans cooler and more grey-taupe, which makes it sit comfortably alongside greige paint, white oak, and oxidized bronze without pulling the room warm.
“The matte finish keeps the field quiet and the vein lattice subtle — readable up close, calm from across the room.”
Honed. The matte finish keeps the field quiet and the vein lattice subtle — readable up close, calm from across the room. It reads as a soft neutral marble, useful for full-slab waterfall islands, fireplace surrounds, and large bathroom runs where a busier stone would dominate.
Thirty-eight slabs landed this week from the Petris factory in Italy. 75″ × 118″ in 2cm — a tighter format than the jumbo Antolini blocks but the lot depth is the story: enough consecutive book-matches to spec a kitchen and a primary bath from a single block, with the cooler greige read holding consistent slab to slab.
