Bianco Namibian Rhino White — Honed, in Los Angeles

Bianco Namibian

The quietest white marble.

Quarried in Namibia. Cut for the cleanest white field and the faintest drift the quarry will allow.

Rhino White is the cleanest white marble we stock — a Namibian quarry that produces an almost vein-free field with only the faintest grey and warm beige drift through the body. No Carrara feathering, no Calacatta gold, no Statuario stroke. The slab reads as a single quiet sheet of white, which is exactly the point: it’s the marble you spec when the architecture is supposed to do the work and the stone is supposed to disappear into it.

At 65″ × 122″, the slab is sized for full-height bath walls, fireplace surrounds, vanity tops, dining tables, and bar fronts. Honed keeps the field soft, chalky, and forgiving of light — polish on a stone this quiet pushes it toward dental-bright. The drift shifts across the field between morning and afternoon light at the yard; worth walking before locking in the layout.

The right marble when you want the slab to be the room rather than the statement. Pair with limewash, plaster, oak millwork, unlacquered brass, and blackened steel; let the architecture carry the composition. Calcareous and acid-reactive — route toward vanities, bath walls, fireplaces, dining tables and bar fronts rather than working kitchens.

One Finish · Honed

Honed,
to keep the field quiet.

Rhino White ships honed. Polish on a stone this quiet pushes it toward dental-bright; honing keeps the field soft, chalky, and forgiving of light. The matte surface sits naturally next to limewash, plaster, oak millwork, and unlacquered brass without competing.

The right surface for vanities, full-height bath walls, fireplaces, dining tables, and bar fronts — anywhere the slab is meant to disappear into the architecture.

2cm · 65″ × 122″ · Honed

Quiet white, matte, architectural

Honing lets the field drift at full scale while keeping the surface calm against any lighting. The slab sits next to plastered walls, oak millwork, brass, and steel without competing for attention — and the patina that develops reads as part of the white rather than wear.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Bianco Namibian Rhino White marble?
Rhino White is the cleanest white marble we stock — quarried in Namibia, an almost vein-free field with only the faintest grey and warm beige drift through the body. No Carrara feathering, no Calacatta gold, no Statuario stroke. The marble you spec when the architecture is supposed to do the work and the stone is supposed to disappear into it.
Is Rhino White available in polished?
By special order only. The slab ships honed, calibrated to keep the field soft and quiet. Polish pushes a stone this quiet toward dental-bright; honed is the right call for most applications. If the brief absolutely demands polish, we will lay polished Rhino White options against honed on the floor.
Where does Rhino White work best?
In the room where the slab is meant to disappear into the architecture. Vanities, full-height bath walls, fireplace surrounds, dining tables, bar fronts. Not recommended for working kitchens — it’s calcareous and acid-reactive. The cleanest white we stock is also the most exposed at the lemon-juice-and-red-wine stage; route it accordingly.
How is Rhino White different from Statuario or Calacatta?
Statuario has a sculptural bold stroke on a clean white ground. Calacatta has amber and gold veining drawn across the field. Rhino White has no veining to speak of — the faintest drift through the body, the marble reads as a single quiet sheet of white. Three different registers of white marble; pick the one that fits the room.
Can Rhino White be bookmatched?
Bookmatched Namibian white marble is available on selected blocks. The slab ships as a single piece; matched pairs and larger compositions are quote-on-request.
How do I see Rhino White in person?
Royal Stone is at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard, West Los Angeles. Designers and private clients are welcome by appointment Monday through Friday. Call (310) 477-3223 and we will pull the slab for you.

The field reads differently in person than in any photograph — brighter, quieter, more architectural. We’d rather pull the slab and walk you through than describe it.
