Travertino Sandblasted Cemento — Vein Cut Ivory, in Los Angeles

Travertino Cemento · Sandblasted

Cemento, drawn as vein lines.

Quarried in Tivoli, Italy, finished Sandblasted at the cooperative.

Cemento is the discrete register of the Tivoli family — softer and more neutral cream than Classico Light, with the vein-cut lines drawn soft across the field. Sandblasting carries the slab into a finely stippled tooth, surfaces the cream register tactilely, and keeps the unfilled voids visible at the surface.

At 63″ × 116″, the slab sizes for exterior cladding, library walls, primary bath compositions, and any application where unfilled travertine reads correctly. The sandblasted surface is the right call for exteriors and for any room where the slab needs to be tactile and warm.

The right Travertino Cemento when the brief is unfilled sandblasted vein-cut cream. Pair with lime plaster, terracotta, terracotta-tone flooring, oak millwork, and a darker stone elsewhere as counterpoint.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Travertino Sandblasted Cemento Vein Cut?
Cemento is the softest cream register of the Tivoli family — softer and more neutral than Classico Light, with the vein-cut lines drawn soft across the field. Sandblasting carries the slab into a finely stippled tooth, surfaces the cream register tactilely, and keeps the natural voids visible at the surface.
Where does Cemento Sandblasted work best?
In the room where the brief is unfilled sandblasted vein-cut cream. Exterior cladding, library walls, primary bath compositions, full-height composition, library walls, entry halls. Pair with lime plaster, terracotta, terracotta-tone flooring, oak millwork, a darker stone elsewhere as counterpoint.
Is Cemento Sandblasted good for a working kitchen?
No — unfilled travertine reads as the natural vugged register, which is right for exteriors, libraries, and application where unfilled reads correctly but wrong for working kitchens. Filled-and-honed or Stratos travertine is the right call for working kitchens.
How is Cemento Sandblasted different from Henraux Sandblasted?
Both sandblasted Italian travertine slabs, different registers. Henraux Sandblasted is the lemon-cream register with natural voids. Cemento Sandblasted is the softer and more neutral Cemento cream register. Pick the register that fits the room.
How is Cemento Sandblasted installed?
The slabs are mounted as a continuous cladding or composed sequence with inside corners. Sandblasting gives the slab enough grip that it can be walked on as a floor in a bath or entry hall. Royal Stone works with installers experienced with slab cladding; bring drawings to the showroom.
How do I see Cemento Sandblasted in person?
Royal Stone is at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard, West Los Angeles. Designers and private clients are welcome by appointment Monday through Friday. Call (310) 477-3223 and we will pull the slab for you.
