Hard Rock is a mechanical finish that cuts deep, irregular texture into the slab face without thinning the body of the stone. On Patagonia — a glacial composition of ivory, amber, rust, and pyrite black across a partly translucent field — the relief exposes the crystalline structure and changes how the color reads through the day.

It belongs on vertical work. Backlit bath walls, fireplace surrounds, powder room features, bar fronts and cladding panels — wherever the play of light across the surface becomes the design. We do not recommend Hard Rock on countertops; the relief is too generous for working surfaces.

Lighting design is the variable that matters. Graze the wall from the side with a warm fixture and the relief reads sculptural. Backlight a translucent Patagonia and the amber and ivory passages glow through the surface while the dark inclusions hold as silhouette. We will pull a slab and light it for you in the yard before you commit it to a wall.
