Every September, the natural stone world meets in Verona, Italy, for Marmomac, the largest stone, design, and technology fair in the world. At this year's show, held September 22–25, 2026, the Royal Stone team spent the week on the floor and in the Antolini halls choosing the material that will fill our Los Angeles yard through 2027.
We came home with two pieces of news. First, Royal Stone made its largest commitment yet to Antolini's top-tier collections, focused on the grades and finishes that are hardest to find in the United States. Second, that commitment has earned Royal Stone Diamond-level Antolini importer status, recognition of the depth of our partnership with the Verona house and the volume of Antolini stone we bring into Los Angeles.
Why Verona matters. Antolini has worked with natural stone in Verona since 1956 and is known for selecting blocks from the world's most demanding quarries, then finishing them with its own resin, backing, and surface-texture technology. Marmomac is where Antolini shows its newest materials and its rarest blocks for the first time. Selecting in person, slab by slab, lets us choose the bundles with the best color, the cleanest movement, and the most consistent sequences for bookmatching, rather than taking whatever reaches the U.S. market later.
What we selected for 2027. The investment centers on the materials designers and architects ask us for most and can rarely find in depth: Calacatta Viola and the Calacatta Borghini family, including soft-vein and Monet selections; rare Italian breccias such as Breccia Capraia; translucent Cristallo quartzites and onyx for backlit work; statement quartzites including Taj Mahal and Amazonite; and Antolini's Opera d'Arte and Super Select grades. We also expanded our commitment to Antolini Textures+, the fluted, Stratos, Petra, and other dimensional finishes that turn a stone wall into a sculptural feature.

Full bundles, not single slabs. A key part of this investment is buying in sequential bundles. For kitchens with long islands, full-height backsplashes, bookmatched shower walls, and whole-house palettes, having consecutive slabs from the same block makes all the difference. Our 2027 allocation is built so that clients can plan an entire project from one block instead of piecing it together from separate lots.
What Diamond importer status means for our clients. Diamond-level status reflects a deeper working relationship with Antolini. For Los Angeles homeowners, designers, architects, and fabricators, that translates into earlier access to new collections, a wider selection of Antolini's premium grades held right here in the yard, and a team that has seen these materials at the source. It also means more of the rare material that usually stays in Europe will be available to see in person in Los Angeles.
When the new material arrives. The Marmomac selections will reach the yard in shipments through late 2026 and into 2027. As each container lands, we will post the new slabs to the Journal and to our incoming inventory page, with full-slab photography and, for translucent stones, backlit photos. Trade clients can ask us to place holds on specific bundles before they arrive.
Come see it at full scale. Antolini stone has to be seen in person to be understood. The Royal Stone yard on South Sepulveda in West Los Angeles holds 2,000+ active slabs across 50,000 sq. ft., with a dedicated Antolini room and a backlighting area for translucent quartzite and onyx. To walk the yard, plan a project around the 2027 Antolini collection, or reserve incoming material, contact our team to book an appointment.
