A very special container from Antolini in Italy has just arrived at Royal Stone in Los Angeles. This is a collection built around finish, texture, and movement: specialty-finished travertine slabs, custom Ribbon Rock finish Taj Mahal slabs, and a selection of Calacatta Viola and Paonazzo Nero marble.

The travertine is the first thing to see. These are not simply slabs in a standard surface treatment; the specialty finishes give the stone a more architectural presence, with the natural movement of the travertine meeting the way light travels across its surface. They are suited to projects where the finish is part of the design language—not an afterthought.

The Taj Mahal selection brings the same idea to a familiar quartzite. Finished in Antolini’s custom Ribbon Rock treatment, the slabs give Taj Mahal a distinct tactile character while keeping the warm, quiet field that makes it work across kitchens, baths, fireplaces, and feature walls. It is a particularly good material to view in person, where the finish can be read from across the yard and at hand.

The container also includes Calacatta Viola and Paonazzo Nero marble slabs—two expressive Italian marble families with the kind of color and veining that can carry a room on their own. They bring a deeper, more dramatic counterpoint to the travertine and Taj Mahal, and give designers another way to build a palette around movement rather than uniformity.
