Italian Silver Travertine
The cool register of Italian travertine. Silver, taupe, soft gray and warm cream bands run through the slab in long horizontal currents — a quiet architectural counterpoint to warm wood, bronze and plaster.

No. 04.3
Quarried in Italy and imported as coordinated lots. The family ranges from filled and honed working slabs to unfilled, tactile silver registers.
Italian Silver shifts Tivoli travertine toward silver, dove, taupe and soft gray without losing the warmth of the sedimentary stone. Vein cutting keeps the bedding lines long and directional, so a run of slabs can read as one continuous architectural gesture.
Filled and honed closes the natural cavities and brings the face to a quiet matte — the practical register for walls, fireplaces, bathrooms, floors and larger compositions. Unfilled lots keep the vugs visible and make the material more tactile, especially on vertical work and exterior cladding.
The current 32-slab lot gives a project enough sequence to hold tonal continuity across a room. Walk the slabs together in daylight; Silver moves from warm cream to cooler blue-gray depending on the block, light and finish.

Common Questions
Italian Silver
questions, answered.
- What is Italian Silver Travertine?
- Italian Silver is a cooler travertine register with silver, taupe, dove gray and warm cream banding. Vein-cut lots present that movement as long horizontal lines; filled, honed and unfilled finishes create different surface readings.
- How many Italian Silver slabs are currently available?
- The current featured lot includes 32 coordinated 2cm slabs, approximately 58″ × 106″. Other Silver registers and individual slabs change as inventory moves, so confirm the current lot before specifying.
- Where does Silver Travertine work best?
- Filled-and-honed Silver suits walls, fireplaces, bathrooms, floors and larger multi-slab compositions. Unfilled Silver is better when the natural cavities and tactile surface are part of the brief, especially on vertical or exterior applications.
- How does Silver Travertine compare with Titanium?
- Silver is the cooler but still gentle register, with silver, taupe and cream bands. Titanium generally moves darker toward gray, pewter, charcoal and stronger mineral contrast. Walk both families side by side in daylight for the honest comparison.
- How do I see Italian Silver Travertine in person?
- Royal Stone is at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard, West Los Angeles. Call (310) 477-3223 and we will pull the current Silver lot for you to walk together.
