Channel White is a bright entry in the onyx family — a milky white-to-cream translucent body cut along the bedding so the slab reads as long, sweeping diagonal strata. What sets this piece apart is the veining: ribbons of rust-red and amber that channel through the pale field, giving the stone a warmth that pure white onyx doesn't carry.

Vein-cut and polished. The vein cut keeps the movement directional and architectural — orderly enough for a full wall, alive enough to hold a room on its own. The polish opens the translucency: put light behind this slab and the cream body glows while the rust veining darkens into relief, a second pattern under the first.

The vein cut keeps the movement directional and architectural — orderly enough for a full wall, alive enough to hold a room on its own.
From the slab arrival,

Cut at 2cm and measuring 70" × 113", the slab is sized for a backlit feature wall, a bar front, a powder bath, or a fireplace surround. Onyx is softer than marble and quartzite — it belongs on vertical surfaces and decorative horizontals, not a daily-use kitchen island.

On the floor now at Royal Stone, 2303 South Sepulveda. Walk it with a flashlight to the back of the slab — that is the only way to read onyx properly. Call (310) 477-3223 to hold it.
