Roman Travertine · New 50-Slab Lot
The classical register, at its most consistent.
Quarried at Tivoli, east of Rome — the same stone the Romans built with, selected here at the super premium grade.
Roman Travertine is the stone of the Colosseum — hot-spring limestone laid down in horizontal beds at Tivoli and sawn into the warm beige register that has carried Roman architecture for two thousand years. The super premium grade is the top of that selection: the tightest banding, the fewest voids, the most consistent tone from slab to slab.
Vein cutting runs the saw along the bedding plane, so the bands read as long linear movement from end to end of the slab. On this lot the lines run warm beige over cream, calm and architectural — the register that sits as comfortably under a contemporary interior as it does in a classical one.
At 72″ × 116″ and 50 slabs deep, the lot is sized for full-room work — continuous wall runs, large-format floors, fireplace surrounds, and multi-slab bath compositions cut from a single, consistent shipment. Reserve slabs together for the closest tonal continuity.

Honing keeps the beige and cream bands matte and legible. Filling closes the natural cavities, creating a cleaner surface while preserving the long linear movement of the vein cut.
