Lot EE505

The Oro Classic register.

Selected through Antolini in Italy from the Calacatta Monet family — a warm register that carries gold through a bright white field.

Calacatta Monet Oro Classic keeps the bright field of the Monet family and turns the temperature warmer. Long, directional passages of gold, taupe, and soft gray move through the white ground, giving the slab a drawn quality rather than a single heavy vein. At full scale, the movement reads as a continuous composition from one edge to the other.

Lot EE505 is cut at 2cm and measures 78″ × 121″. The honed finish keeps the warm passages matte and lets the white field stay quiet under changing light. The format gives a designer enough length for a substantial island, a full-height wall, or a carefully laid-out bookmatched composition.

This is a Calacatta for rooms that want movement without losing warmth — a kitchen, bath, fireplace surround, bar front, or dining surface where the stone can carry the palette. Pair the gold register with oak, plaster, aged brass, or a darker stone used as a counterpoint.

One Finish · Honed

Honed,
to keep the gold quiet.

Lot EE505 is shown in a honed finish. The matte surface keeps the gold and taupe movement soft and architectural, while the white field stays calm rather than reflective. Honing lets the directional drawing of the marble remain the focus without adding glare across the slab.

A considered surface for islands, full-height bath walls, fireplace surrounds, vanity tops, and bookmatched feature compositions.

Warm gold, matte, directional

Honing takes the reflection off the surface and lets the gold register sit inside the stone. The long movement stays legible from across the room, while the matte finish keeps the slab comfortable alongside plaster, oak, aged brass, and quieter neighboring stones.

The Oro Classic register reads differently at full scale than it does in a photograph — warmer, longer, and more directional. We’d rather pull the slab and walk you through it than describe it from a screen.
