Lot YG575

The reference Borghini.

Quarried in the Apuan Alps. Curated through the Antolini reference Borghini selection in Verona.

Calacatta Borghini is the name most people picture when they hear “Italian marble” — a luminous white ground with bold amber and grey veining drawn across it, the slab the kitchen and the bath are built around. Antolini’s YG registers are the reference cuts of that family: the bold, painterly vein made architectural. Lot YG575 is a textbook.

At 68″ × 108″ the slab is sized for full-height bath walls, fireplace surrounds, and vanity runs — or to cut into a working kitchen island as a single, seamed-where-needed plane. Honed softens the field and keeps the amber and grey reading warm and structural; polished is available by special order for fireplace and feature-wall use.

The right Calacatta for a working island that wants to anchor a kitchen, a primary bath composed entirely of stone, or a fireplace surround where the slab is the room. Pair with rift oak, unlacquered brass, or a quieter Calacatta elsewhere in the house, and let the vein do the work.

One Finish · Honed

Honed,
to keep the vein structural.

Lot YG575 ships honed. The reference Borghini is a bold vein cut — polishing pushes it toward dramatic and mirror-bright; honing softens the surface enough to read quiet in a working room while keeping the amber and grey veins at full architectural weight.

The right surface for an island, a primary bath, a fireplace surround, and any application where the slab is meant to lead the room.

2cm · 68″ × 108″ · Honed

Bold vein, matte, architectural

Honing pulls the polished glamour off the slab and lets the vein register as pigment rather than reflection. The surface forgives everyday etching, sits comfortably under pendant lighting, and lets the bold Borghini vein carry the room.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Antolini Borghini Calacatta?
Antolini’s Borghini Calacatta is the reference cut of the family most people picture when they hear Italian marble — a luminous white ground crossed by bold amber and grey veins. Apuan Alps quarry, selected slab-by-slab in Verona, the kind of Calacatta that anchors kitchens and primary baths across the Westside.
Is Lot YG575 available in polished?
By special order. Honed is what the block was selected for and ships at. Polished Borghini is a worthwhile consideration for fireplace surrounds and feature walls — reflection reads as luxury in those applications. Bring drawings and we will lay out polished Borghini options on the floor.
How is Lot YG575 sized for kitchen islands?
68″ × 108″ will cut a standard island-facing counter run as a single piece or with one seam depending on the length of the run. The veins run the length of the slab and read beautifully end-to-end on a honed island.
Is Antolini Borghini good for a primary bath?
At full scale the reference Borghini is the move in a primary bath — walls, floor, vanity tops, and the shower surround pulled from one slab dressed to the same honed finish. The vein continues around the room and the slab becomes the architecture.
Can Lot YG575 be bookmatched?
Bookmatched Borghini is available on selected blocks. Lot YG575 ships as a single slab; pairs and matched sets are quote-on-request depending on layout.
How do I see Lot YG575 in person?
Royal Stone is at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard, West Los Angeles. Designers and private clients are welcome by appointment Monday through Friday. Call (310) 477-3223 and we will pull the slab for you.

The reference Borghini reads differently in person than in any photograph — bolder, more architecturally composed, the vein more readable. Lot YG575 is one of one; we’d rather pull it and walk you through it than describe it from a photo.
