Lot ZZ458

A landscape in three registers.

Quarried in Brazil and selected through Antolini Brazil. Newly arrived at Royal Stone in Los Angeles.

ZZ458 reads from left to right as a complete composition: a warm ivory field with fine linear movement, a pale mineral-green formation edged in graphite, and a broad clear-white crystalline passage crossed by amber lines. The polished surface keeps the transitions sharp and the crystal visually deep.

At 80″ × 131″, the slab has the scale for a statement island, bar front, vanity, fireplace surround, or full-height feature wall. Its design value is in the placement: a fabricator can decide which register becomes the focal surface and where the clear crystal should meet an edge, waterfall, or light source.

The backlight test confirms that the clear crystalline field transmits light most strongly, turning warm white and amber around the vein. The denser ivory and green formations remain weighted. For an illuminated installation, the lighting layout should follow those natural zones rather than treating the slab as an evenly glowing panel.

Daylight / Transmitted Light

Polished,
until light becomes the finish.

The polished face reveals the full depth of the crystalline field in daylight. During the yard backlight test, selected passages shift to warm white and amber while graphite and denser mineral seams hold as silhouette.

A lighting mock-up should be planned from the exact slab photograph and confirmed against the physical slab before fabrication.

Crystal, amber, and held shadow

Light gathers in the clear right-hand field and around the amber lines, while the ivory and mineral-green body remains visually solid. That contrast is what gives the slab depth under transmitted light.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Patagonia Vitrum Select ZZ458?
ZZ458 is a 2cm polished Antolini Brazil Patagonia Vitrum Select quartzite slab measuring 80″ × 131″. It combines warm ivory, pale mineral green, clear white crystal, amber linework, and graphite seams in one composition.
Can lot ZZ458 be backlit?
Yes. The yard backlight test shows the clear crystalline passage transmitting light, especially around the amber lines. The denser ivory and mineral-green formations remain darker, so lighting should be designed around the natural translucent zones.
Is ZZ458 photographed in standard light too?
Yes. The page includes three daylight views and one backlight-test view of the same lot so the colour, scale, and translucency can be compared before a showroom visit.
Where can Patagonia Vitrum ZZ458 be used?
The slab can be considered for statement islands, bar fronts, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and full-height feature walls. For illuminated work, test the final lighting layout against the selected slab before fabrication.
How can I see ZZ458 in person?
Visit Royal Stone at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles by appointment. The slab can be viewed in daylight and under backlight testing.
