Lot EE092

Marble as art.

Quarried in Italy and selected through the Antolini Opera D\u2019Arte program in Verona — the family’s most sculptural register.

Antolini’s Opera D’Arte program is the family’s sculptural cut — the marble-as-art register. Bold movement drawn across the field, painterly colour blocks, the slab treated as a composition rather than a material. Select is the top of that line — the cleanest field, the most composed movement, the strongest architectural statement.

Lot EE092 is a textbook Select — the slab reads as a single composition running 74″ × 119″ at full scale. Honed keeps the surface quiet enough to live as wall art in a room; polished is available by special order and worth considering for fireplace and feature-wall applications.

The right marble for the room where the slab is meant to be the focal point — a fireplace surround, a primary bath composed entirely of stone, a feature wall behind a bar, or an island where Calacatta would be too quiet. Pair with restrained architecture; let the slab carry.

One Finish · Honed

Honed,
to let the marble live as wall art.

Lot EE092 ships honed. The Opera D’Arte Select movement is calibrated to a matte, monumental surface — polishing pushes it toward spectacle and loses the architectural register. Honed also forgives everyday etching and lets the slab sit as a single quiet composition in the room.

The right surface for a fireplace surround, a primary bath, a feature wall, or an island where the slab means to lead.

Sculptural, matte, monumental

Honing pulls the polish off and lets the Opera D\u2019Arte movement read as quiet architecture rather than glossy drama. The slab holds up under any lighting — pendant, cove, natural daylight — without competing reflection, and forgives the small etching working marble picks up over time.

Common Questions

Questions,answered.

What is Antolini Opera D’Arte Select marble?
Antolini’s Opera D’Arte program is the family’s sculptural cut — the marble-as-art register. Select is the top grade: cleanest field, most composed movement, strongest architectural statement. Lot EE092 ships at 2cm honed, 74″ × 119″.
Is Lot EE092 available in polished?
By special order. Honed is what the block was selected for and ships at. Polished Opera D’Arte reads as spectacle rather than architecture; honed is the right call for most applications. Bring drawings and we will lay out the options on the floor.
Where does Opera D’Arte Select work best?
In the rooms where the slab is meant to be the focal point — a fireplace surround, a primary bath composed entirely of stone, a full-height feature wall behind a bar, or an island where a quieter Calacatta would disappear. Pair with restrained architecture and let the slab carry the composition.
How does Opera D’Arte Select differ from Calacatta Borghini?
Both are Antolini marbles selected in Verona. Borghini is a refined white marble with bold amber and grey veining — read it as the Cutler & Savon of Italian kitchens. Opera D’Arte Select reads as marble-as-art — sculptural movement and painterly colour across the slab. Borghini leads with the vein; Opera D’Arte leads with the composition.
Can Lot EE092 be bookmatched?
Bookmatched Opera D’Arte is available on selected blocks. Lot EE092 ships as a single slab; pairs and matched sets are quote-on-request. For larger layouts two slabs are usually pulled to flank a feature wall.
How do I see Lot EE092 in person?
Royal Stone is at 2303 South Sepulveda Boulevard, West Los Angeles. Designers and private clients are welcome by appointment Monday through Friday. Call (310) 477-3223 and we will pull the slab for you.

Opera D’Arte Select reads more monumental in person than in any photo — the slab is meant to be lived with as a composition. We’d rather pull it and walk you through than describe it.
